Lime Kiln Bay Wetland Restoration

Pleasantview undertook the design and construction of this extremely dilapidated creek valley for Hurstville Council. This massive, award winning, multi-million-dollar project entailed the restoration of Lime Kiln bay Wetlands which flows into Salt Pan Creek, a tributary of Georges River. The project entailed a large amount of land clearing and earthworks and the installation of the largest GPT in the Southern Hemisphere. The completed works dramatically reduced the amount of nutrients, sediment and gross pollutants entering the Georges River and has become a beautiful recreation and educational space that is a showcase of good ecosystem management.
